What do I need to bring?

Towels, blankets, sheets, pillows, laundry detergent, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, hair dryers, etc are provided. You should plan to bring:

  • Your food selections

  • Personal products (shampoo, razors, clothing, medications, etc.)

What time can I check in?

3 PM

How many guests can stay in the house?

The patient and one caregiver may stay in the house. Arrangements for additional caregivers/family members may be made in advance.

May I receive mail or packages at the house?

Because your stay will only be for a few days, receiving mail and packages might be problematic. If you have a specific/promised delivery date for a package, those deliveries should be OK.

How long can I stay?

All referrals from the treatment center must provide both an estimated treatment start date and end date. Eligible patients and caregivers may be admitted up to 24 hours prior to the initiation of treatment and must leave no more than 48 hours after treatment is completed. Please understand that if your treatment dates are extended beyond your original treatment dates, you will need to find other accommodations for the remainder of your stay. The maximum stay is 45 days.

Does the house have wireless capabilities?

Yes, there is wireless access available for guests.

Are meals provided?

Guests are responsible for supplying and preparing their own food. A full kitchen with cooking utensils is provided.

Is there a charge to stay at the house?

There is $15 per day charge to help cover the cost of the utilities, internet and cable and a one time $60 cleaning fee. 

Is maid service provided?

Daily room cleaning is not available to guests. Guests are responsible for the upkeep of their room and kitchen/dining cleanup during their stay at the house. Cleaning supplies are provided.

Are there laundry facilities?

Yes, a washer and dryer are available at the house. Guests are responsible for all personal laundry, including towels and bedding (which are provided). Laundry supplies are also provided.

Can my caregiver stay at the house if I am in the hospital?

If a patient is admitted to the hospital during their stay at the house, the caregiver may continue to stay in the house through the original dates reserved. The situation will be assessed and discussed with the caregiver as needed. Since our priority is providing access to care for as many outpatient guests as possible, the caregiver will need to vacate the house if there are other eligible patients needing the house.

Is transportation available to the cancer treatment facilities?

Transportation is not included. However, we will work with the patient to try to arrange transportation if necessary.

Are pets allowed?

Because of our stringent cleaning requirements, pets are not allowed.

Is smoking allowed?

No smoking (including medical marijuana) is allowed in the house or on any part of the property.  This is strictly enforced.  Smoking on the property is a violation of the lease agreement and the tenants will be asked to leave.
